Jon Gore
Trustee
Jon is an enthusiastic amateur musician, as a keyboard player in covers bands and a lockdown learner of the saxophone. Looking to find other keen musicians back in 2016, he accidentally ended up setting up a community orchestra, the
Orchestra of Everything, which then expanded to junior and teenage orchestras. The Foundation grew from his desire to broaden access to these sorts of community music groups, and to give more children the chance to discover music-making.

Cara Sykes
Trustee
Learning a musical instrument at school gave Cara life skills such as resilience and determination, and has given her friendship and joy over many years. She became a trustee of the Foundation because she’d like as many children as possible to experience this for themselves. Cara is a lawyer by training and loves to play oboe and saxophone. Her favourite pieces of music are the Overture to West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein and Livin’ On A Prayer by Bon Jovi.

Steve Tucker
Trustee
Steve has had a long career in education, and much of it has been spent ensuring arts education is accessible to all. He originally trained in and taught performing arts but has been fully converted to the joys of playing an instrument, and is trying to become competent on the saxophone. Steve works part time as a consultant to colleges and adult education providers, and is our Safeguarding Lead.

Bethany
Teacher (percussion)
Bethany has played percussion since she was 12 and received a scholarship to play orchestral percussion while studying for her degree in physics. She now teaches drum kit and orchestral percussion, plays in a number of contemporary bands and a local concert band. She also regularly performs with musical theatre groups.

Chris
Teacher (guitar)
Chris has over 20 years’ experience playing, performing and teaching guitar. His passion for music and life itself makes him a lifelong learner – something that’s reflected in his dynamic and engaging teaching style. He currently fronts the band Archalia and toured Europe in 2019 with one of his original music projects.

Danny
Teacher (bass, tuba)
Danny is a music educator and classically trained tuba player with a degree in music. He has taught all ages since 2014, and is a franchisee of The Rock Project, helping young musicians build skills and confidence through engaging, band-based lessons. He’s also training to become a Pokémon master!

Katie
Teacher (piano, woodwind)
Katie is a passionate and engaging music teacher with a masters in music from Bristol University. She’s taught piano and woodwind for many years, and also plays in Bath’s
Orchestra Of Everything. Katie feels very privileged to be able to work with so many children with the Foundation, and to inspire them to explore their musical potential.

Victoria
Teacher (woodwind)
Victoria is a woodwind teacher, specialising in the flute. She discovered the wonderful world of music through recorder lessons at school, and is really excited to be offering the same opportunities to children through the Foundation. The most musical fun she’s ever had was playing the baritone saxophone in a production of Little Shop Of Horrors.

Zorana
Teacher (cello, guitar, keyboard)
Zorana started learning the cello when she was seven, and has since earned a degree in music from the University of Chichester and an MA in music from Oxford Brookes University. She became a music educator in 2019, and has taught students of all ages and abilities.
